Set amongst the outstanding natural landscapes of the South-East Queensland Hinterland, this Mixed Use Commercial Development will provide a world-class facility catering to the emerging food and ‘experience’ tourism markets, also referred to as ‘wellness’ tourism.

The wellness tourism economy continues to build momentum and offers much more than typical wellness uses such as spas, wellness retreats, thermal baths, and boot camps; rather wellness travellers are seeking
experiences which combine their passion for being active, mental health, sustainable and holistic eating, nature, and local culture.

In addition, a key feature of this project is the use of cross laminated timber (CLT). Cross-laminated timber CLT is a type of engineered wood product that is being increasingly used in building design.

The timber tower revolution has sparked many diverse types of construction techniques. The most used solution is a timber/concrete hybrid. The floor plates are made from an engineered timber product – Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). The posts are a Glulam manufactured product which is a strong and lightweight alternative to steel or concrete columns.

Pre-fabricating timber elements lowers construction time and provides an extremely elevated level of precision. Using Engineered timber is a sustainable construction method as it is manufactured from a renewable timber resource within managed forests. Timber also locks in carbon dioxide, performing the much-needed task of removing CO2 from the environment.
